Extensive Tenant Screening is Important
When a tenant applies, it is our job to find out everything we can about that tenant. We look at employment histories, income, the rental history and landlord references, credit scores and other background verification.
All of these factors are considered and give us the information we need to decide if an applicant will need to pay more in a deposit. If we decide to completely reject an applicant, it is because of the information revealed in the screening process.
Picking the High Quality Tenant – Not the First To Apply
Our process is not first come/first serve like some other property management companies. We look at all the applications that come in and spend time reviewing them, screening them, and picking the all star in the group to ensure we get the best available tenant.
Once we find a high quality tenant, we make sure the property owner agrees with us.
Getting your home rented starts with advertising and marketing, but the tenant screening process is where we find the best person or people to put in your property. We welcome our owners to be as involved in the process as they want to be as part of our commitment to excellent communication.
If you have any questions about the tenant screening process or how a property manager should perform this part of the job, please contact us at RentWerx Austin and we’d be happy to tell you more.
